The Canadian Youth Delegation to Poznan builds on a long history of Canadian youth engagement in the UN climate negotiations process. Since the large and hugely effective mobilisation of young people at COP-11 in Montreal 2005, youth have organised a presence at every major meeting. In 2006, 22 young Canadians worked with other international youth to make a big impact at COP-12 in Nairobi, Kenya and help establish the African Youth Initiative on Climate Change. Last year at COP13 in Bali, Indonesia the Canadian Youth Delegation was again an important force for positive change, engaging with the talks and standing up for a strong deal as things teetered on the edge of disaster.

This year's COP in Poznan is as important as ever. It is a critical stepping stone on the road to a new global agreement next year in Copenhagen. Learn more below and in the Resource Centre!
